Our History

Belmont Savings Bank in 1885

Chartered in 1885, Belmont Savings Bank (BSB), headquartered in Bellaire, Ohio, has been serving the residents of the Ohio Valley for over 135 years!

In 1956, we opened our main office in Bellaire, with more than 4,200 people attending the open house. The next location was added in St. Clairsville, Ohio in 1966. And in 1976, we opened our branch in Powhatan Point. In 1980, we opened the doors to our office in Barnesville, Ohio.

Today, Belmont Savings Bank remains a mutual, and we do not have shareholders. We are able to provide the community with competitive interest rates on deposits and loans. This coupled with the bank’s commitment to the local community has led to significant growth over the years. The bank’s total assets are around $423,000,000 and capital exceeds $79,000,000.

We look forward to continue serving the financial needs of the hard working families throughout the Ohio Valley.
